Born in Cincinnati in 1972, Blythe was the doll every other doll wanted to be: plucky, free-spirited and well accessorised… The way the story goes, photographer Gina Garan, received an original Blythe doll as a gift from someone who felt that Blythe looked like Gina. Gina began taking her on photoshoots and practicing taking pictures using her as a model. Shortly Gina was never without her. Since that time Blythe has travelled the world with Gina, making each of them famous both in the fashion arena and in charity work as well.
Many of the Blythes in this wonderful book are dressed by top couture designers, and were later shown off in Vogue Nippon magazine, ultimately to be auctioned off to support children's charities. This is their first book.
